Accessibility Statement

We’re committed to accessibility. Our goal is to make our website usable and accessible to as many people as possible, including people with disabilities.

What web accessibility is

An accessible site allows visitors with disabilities to browse the site with the same or a similar level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This can be achieved with the capabilities of the system on which the site is operating, and through assistive technologies.

How we make the site accessible

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 AA guidelines. This includes:

  • Clear structure and headings for screen reader navigation.

  • Alt text for meaningful images.

  • Sufficient colour contrast and scalable text.

  • Forms with labels, instructions, and error messages that can be understood with assistive tech.

  • Keyboard-accessible menus and controls (no keyboard traps).

  • Avoiding content that flashes more than three times per second.

Using the website

You should be able to:

  • Zoom text up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.

  • Navigate most of the site using just a keyboard.

  • Navigate most of the site using a screen reader (including recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver).

  • Pause, stop, or hide any moving or auto-updating content we introduce.

Non-accessible content (known limitations)

We’re working to fix the following:

  • Third-party content or plugins we don’t control may not fully meet WCAG criteria.

  • Older PDFs or documents (e.g., enrolment packs or policies) may not be fully accessible. Accessible versions are available on request.
If you encounter any issue not listed here, please let us know.

What to do if you can’t access parts of this site

If you need information in a different format (accessible PDF, large print, easy read, audio), or you can’t use a page because of accessibility barriers, contact us and we’ll provide an alternative.

Technical information about this site’s accessibility

  • This website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA, due to the non-compliances listed above.

  • We follow a “build accessible first” approach and test with automated tools and manual checks (keyboard-only and screen reader spot checks).
